Jaffna Tamil Wedding in Colombo by Anbujawahar

Jana and Niru's decade-long love story culminated in a joyous celebration of their union surrounded by family and friends in September 2023. Their traditional Jaffna Tamil-style wedding was beautifully captured by Anbujawahar, Yohan, and Nishanthan Thiru's videography team at the picturesque Mayurapathy Wedding Hall in Colombo.

Hailing from Karai Nagar in Jaffna, located in the north of Sri Lanka, the couple, who were raised in Colombo, met almost ten years ago and gradually fell deeply in love. The eagerly anticipated wedding day was a heartfelt representation of their enduring bond, steeped in the rich customs and traditions of a Jaffna-style ceremony.

We also shot a tiny session of post-wedding couple shoot at Bentota a few days later. The shoot was done just after a rainy morning at Boutique 87, designed by the famous Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa.
